Prof. Nevena Secen , MD PhD is currently a Full Professor in Internal Medicine, University of Novi Sad, School of Medicine, Serbia. She is a pulmonologist – oncologist, working in the Institute for Pulmonary Diseases of Vojvodina, Sremska Kamenica, Novi Sad, Serbia, as a Head of the Department for Diagnostics and Treatment of Lung Cancer.
In the period from 2001-2009, she was Vice Dean for Foreign Communication and Foreign Students, University of Novi Sad, School of Medicine Novi Sad.
The Vice Director for education and research in the Institute for Pulmonary Diseases of Vojvodina in period from 2001 – 2016.
Coordinator for Foreign Cooperation in the Institute for Pulmonary Diseases of Vojvodina, Sremska Kamenica, Novi Sad, Serbia ( 2016 – 2018) and the Member (2001 – 2021) and President of the Ethical Committee (2013 – 2021).
In 2010, the Minister of Education of the Government of the Republic of France nominated Nevena Secen as Chevalier dans l’Ordre des Palmes Academiques for International University Collaboration in the field of Medicine between France and Serbia.
She was educated in Novi Sad and received advanced education abroad – in London (UCH and Brompton Hospital), Essen – West Deutsch Tumor Zentrum, Hopitaux Universitaires de Strasbourg Novel Hopital Civil-NHC,Strasbourg,France………
She participated in many national and international Conferences as a member of the board, lecturer and chairperson…..Her articles in thoracic oncolgy were published in domestic and interantiobnal reviews
She is a member of SLD – DLV, UMOS, ERS, ESMO, IASLC, ASCO and CELCA
