As the HFA of the ESC President (2018-2020) and the Vice-President of the ESC (2020-2022), Professor Seferović initiated and successfully completed several major long-term ESC/HFA scientific projects, including: the ESC Textbook on Heart Failure (published 2023), the Central/Easter Europe Quality of Care Centers (the network of HFA accredited centers, cooperating to establish contemporary standards of diagnostic and therapeutic management for heart failure patients) and the two surveys on the epidemiology and management resources for heart failure in ESC member countries, the ESC ATLAS on Heart Failure (published in 2021) and the HFA Observe Survey (expected publication 2025)
